Launched in April 2003 to coincide with National Child Abuse Prevention Month, the Omaha Federation of Advertising created a comprehensive public relations and awareness campaign. The project features a myriad of components. First, a basic look was designed for the Task Force through the design of a logo, letterhead, business card and envelope. Then TV and radio PSAs were developed in both English and Spanish as was an informational brochure. Ads can be seen throughout the community in magazines and newspapers, on billboards, in bathrooms and in movie theaters.
To aid in education, a 10-minute video was filmed featuring a pediatrician and five families tragically effected by Shaken Baby Syndrome.
